Celtic loan flop Nat Phillips has joined Championship side Cardiff City on loan from Liverpool. The central defender returned to Anfield at the beginning of the month and will now be loaned out again. Phillips was a late acquisition in the summer transfer window by Brendan Rodgers as he sought to shore up his backline.
Cardiff confirmed that they signed Phillips on a loan deal until the end of the season. The EFL side are also reportedly considering Celtic midfielder David Turnbull as they appear to be overlooking pace in their transfer dealings.

Since arriving from Anfield, Phillips made eight appearances and was poor in his cameo against Hibs as well as being at fault versus Killie. The big defender came in despite not playing a lot of games and did not impressed. The 26-year-old was always likely be loaned out again in the January window as his opportunities in the first team under Jurgen Klopp were always going to be even slimmer than they were at Celtic.
