Celtic make fresh Adam Idah bid with Norwich ready to sell

Celtic have made a new bid for Adam Idah as the Scottish Champions look to bring the Irishman back to the club. A report on Thursday evening claims that the clubs are in discussions over a deal but that Brendan Rodgers has instructed the club to do a deal to get Idah back on a permanent basis.

According to Stephen McGowan at the Daily Mail, Celtic have launched a bid that they hope will persuade Norwich into selling. The report does not say the figure that Celtic have offered; however, it does state that the Canaries want ยฃ8m for the player.

Idah made his feelings to the Norwich hierarchy known about wanting a return to Celtic Park, which prompted internal disciplinary proceedings at Carrow Rd.

Celtic had a bid rejected for Idah in the early stages of the transfer window, which is believed to be ยฃ4.5m plus add-ons. Talks have continued and the report has said that the Scottish Champions have made a new bid for the attacker, which is hoped can bring the player back to Paradise.

The 23-year-old scored 9 goals and assisted once in 19 appearances and most of these came from the bench. The striker scored some big goals as Celtic won a League & Cup Double and the manager made it clear that he was a priority this summer.

  1. Hopefully comman sence has finally kicked into operation now?
Norwich seem to have reduced the ridiculous amount that was been claimed a few weeks previous now?
In turn we should also be going higher in return also?
So maybe end up meeting somewhere in the middle, at around the 7M mark should get this drawn out saga finally concluded imo?
Would it be to much to expect idah to make our squad for the weekend?
Suppose that would be just greedy and wishful thinking for ourselves to expect?
