Celtic make late £1m bid for Luke McCowan

Celtic have made a £1m deal for Luke McCowan from Dundee. The Dees skipper has impressed under Tony Docherty promoting interest from Hibs, who had four bids rejected.

Now, reports from this evening indicate that Celtic have ramped up their interest and tabled a formal bid with Dundee. The bid is said to have been accepted and it will see the 26-year-old enter discussions over a dream move to Paradise.

Celtic could even use some fringe players to sweeten the deal and offer first team football under a progressive manager like Docherty. That detail remains to be seen but a deal would result in Brendan getting two midfielders into the club on deadline day.

McCowan, a lifelong Celtic supporter, will look to make an impact despite arriving with a relatively moderate transfer fee.
