ON THIS DAY in 2010 were three times ahead of Aberdeen – including by two goals in the second half – and ended up lucky to get a 4-4 draw as Aberdeen finished strongly.

The Celtic side was Boruc, Braafheid, Thompson, O’Dea, Caddis, N’Guemo, Brown, McGeady, Keane, Fortune
and Kamara. Darren O Dea picked two yellow cards so was sent off and from the bench Celtic manager Tony Mowbray introduced Ki, Samaras and Rasmussen in the second half, taking off N’Guemo, Robbie Keane and Fortune.

Celtic took the lead on 3 minutes though Kamara but the Dons were soon level. Fortune restored Celtic’s lead with 36 minutes on the clock but lost a second goal almost immediately.

Early in the second half O’Dea was sent off but Celtic went in front on 65 minutes through Keane and on 72 minutes McGeady made it 4-2 to the visitors. MacLean converted a penalty for Aberdeen shortly after that and with the clock showing 2 minutes remaining Aberdeen’s pressure paid of when Maclean added his second goal of the afternoon.

It finished Aberdeen 4 Celtic 4 – certainly not the best Celtic side that one!
