Celtic have announced that Saturday’s Cinch Premiership match against St Johnstone will be a sell-out. The Scottish Champions updated fans to say that additional tickets were available beside the away supporters and these were quickly snapped up as fans want to see Brendan Rodgers’ side regain their place at the top of the table.

Celtic can go top by a point with a win over Craig Levein’s side; however, this could be for only hours with Rangers kicking off on Sunday afternoon against Dundee at Dens Park.

There have been increased calls in recent weeks that the club introduce a ticketing exchange programme for games at Celtic Park. The recent home fixtures that have been ‘sold out’ have had a number of empty seats from Season Ticket Holders that were unable to attend. However, there is currently no recourse for these supporters to get their seat taken, supporting the team but also compensating fans for the ticket.

Hearts and Hibs have a system that is run by Ticketmaster that allows fans to post their ticket on the exchange for games that they cannot attend (and that is open to the exchange) allowing other registered supporters to buy these tickets.
