Celtic have turned their attentions towards the signing of Alvyn Sanches. The Scottish Champions decided to walk away from a deal to sign LAFC Mateusz Bogusz in order to pursue other targets.

As reported by Football Scotland, Sanches is wanted by Celtic, who view the player as a player that can develop in and around the team. The 21-year-old has made 89 appearances for the Swiss outfit, scoring 16 goals and assisting on 7 occassions.

Celtic and Lausanne-Sport had held discussions about a deal before their interest cooled. The Swiss midfielder is reportedly valued at around £4m and a deal is back on table with the clubs discussing a potential switch. It is said in the report that Brendan Rodgers rates the player highly and believes that Celtic can offer the player the platform to develop.

Celtic will hope to wrap up a £10m move for Arne Engels in the next days as well as pursuing left sided centre back, Auston Trusty. The USA Internationalist is seen as an ideal partner for compatriot Cameron Carter-Vickers, who has impressed since arriving from Spurs in 2021.
