CELTIC have responded on Twitter to the news today that the club and in particular captain Scott Brown have been cited by the Scottish FA for some made-up charges designed to appease the Ibrox hordes and even things up given the violence shown by the Rangers players.
Had the referee Bobby Madden done his job properly the Ibrox club, founded by Charles Green in 2012, would have finished the match with 8 men.
Curiously Celtic’s response has come on Twitter rather than an official statement on the website. Hopefully that will follow.
“Following the news today that Celtic captain, Scott Brown and the club have been cited by the SFA in relation to last Sunday’s game, a club spokesperson said: ‘Celtic will defend these charges vigorously,’” the club’s official twitter account stated.
Celtic may decide that if they are going to go into battle with the SFA on this they may as well abandon their passive approach to pursuing Res 12 and decide to, after stalling for years, put the club’s full weight behind the on-going Persistence Beats Resistance campaign…because it hasn’t gone away!
