CELTIC SCOUT John McGlynn has today left the club to take up the role as manager at Raith Rovers. McGlynn returns to Kirkcaldy along with new assistant Paul Smith.

Speaking to the official Raith Rovers website, the new manager couldn’t hide his delight at being back in charge art Links Park.

“I am relishing the challenge of getting Raith Rovers back to the SPFL Championship, and in particular working with full time players as we strive to progress the club to the next level.

I am delighted that Paul Smith has agreed to join me in this exciting phase in the clubs history,” McGlynn said.

The Raith Rovers board also thanked Celtic for their co-operation in making the move happen.

“The Board of Raith Rovers would like to place on record their thanks to Celtic for their co-operation during discussions about the appointment of John McGlynn,” they stated.
