Celtic are the Champions of Scotland once again after a sensational display at Rugby Park. Brendan Rodgers’ side needed a draw to ensure a third successive title but the manager said he wanted his side to sprint across the line this season and they certainly delivered.
Adam Idah, who started ahead of Kyogo up front, was brilliant in his link up play and threat in front of goal. The Irishman is playing for a permanent deal and certainly impressed. The 23-year-old opened the scoring before Daizen Maeda netted after an excellent Matt O’Riley cross. James Forrest made it 3-0 after Maeda turned creator as the front three combined.
Then, in the second half, Matt O’Riley scored twice. The Player of the Year, Young POTY and Players POTY was excellent in the middle of the park for Celtic.
The team were worthy winners of the title and fought throughout the tough periods of the season and turned it on when they needed to. Credit to Brendan, who managed the challenges and helped the club to yet another league title.
Here are some of Sky Sports’ best reactions to the title success.
Onto Saturday for Celtic now, where they will face St Mirren on trophy day. Then, after the festivities end, focus will switch to the Scottish Cup Final against Rangers on the 25th of May.
