Celtic set to face Manchester United at Old Trafford in Legends clash

Celtic will face Manchester United at Old Trafford in a Legends clash. The Scottish Champions will send a team of their former players to Lancashire to face a team of Red Devils, who will be led by Bryan Robson.

In an announcement on Thursday morning, United followed the lead of their rivals Liverpool in hosting Celtic for a charity game aimed at raising funds for respective charities.

Celtic will face United on 7th September with supporters invited to make the trip to Old Trafford as two iconic clubs meet in one of football’s great stadiums.

A Celtic Legends team will face Borussia Dortmund at Celtic Park this Sunday, which will be an audition for a number of the players in front of former midfielder Paul Lambert, who manages the side. Players like Artur Boruc, Scott Brown, Stephen McManus and Jan Venegoor of Hesselink will play this weekend and also played for the Hoops at Old Trafford in the Champions League. The hope is that the club can pull together a decent team to visit Manchester and give a good game for a good cause.
