Celtic target Bright Osayi-Samuel has signed a pre-contract agreement with Turkish giants Fenerbahce. The 23-year-old Nigerian winger was linked with both Celtic and Rangers to sign on a pre-contract deal; however, he has now decided to commit his future with the Istanbul club.

The player was the subject of a £5m bid from Club Brugge and despite Warburton accepting the offer, the player decided to reject the chance to move to the Belgian Pro League. The Loftus Road side will now lose the player who has impressed this season with three goals and three assists in 20 Championship appearances.

It will go down as another missed target by Celtic as they look to strengthen and re-structure for next season. Having already missed out on Mark McKenzie and Filip Benkovic, the Celtic supporters are wondering if there will be any business at all this month.

Celtic have already been in touch with Ben Pearson of Preston North End about a pre-contract as they prepare for next season. Celtic’s other main targets in the January window will surely be a central defender and a right back as they plan on mounting a dramatic recovery against Rangers to win the SPFL Premiership for a tenth successive season.
