Celtic have teased a new special edition kit to recognise the club’s Irish roots. In a social media post on Monday evening, a cryptic post was published stating that there would be an announcement at 8am on Tuesday.

The Scottish Champions revealed a special fourth kit last season, celebrating the club’s Irish heritage. Although, Celtic were unable to wear the kit in action. This was a disappointment as the top was a favourite amongst supporters and it is hoped that the top will receive an outing against St Johnstone at the weekend.

Hopefully the post will give details of whether the kit will be used and, given this would be the fifth kit released this season, the cost would be affordable for supporters.

Elsewhere, Celtic will be without both skipper Callum McGregor and vice captain Cameron Carter-Vickers for the game against St Johnstone. Craig Levein’s side travel to Celtic Park, having drawn in their earlier meeting at the home of the finest team in Scotland.
