Kilmarnock will welcome Kyle Lafferty back in Saturday evening’s game against Celtic at Hampden. The Scottish League Cup Semi Finals will see Ange Postecoglou’s side push towards the final as the holders look to retain their trophy.

Lafferty, 35, was handed a ten-match ban for a sectarian slur against a Celtic supporter in a Belfast nightclub. The striker has now spent his suspension and will return to contention for the game at the National Stadium this weekend. Derek McInnes will be buoyed by the return of the talisman, who relishes games against the Scottish Champions; however, Celtic will likely not focus too heavily on the Northern Irish Internationalist’s inclusion.

Celtic beat Killie yesterday at Paradise by two goals to nil thanks to a strike from Jota and an own goal from Ash Taylor. However, the score could have been much higher with Celtic hitting the post on a number of occasions. Ange will be keen to see his players hit the levels that they did in the second half.

Celtic beat Hibs in the 2021 Final with a brace from Kyogo sealing Ange’s first trophy for the club. The Australian will be looking to book his place in the Final, where they would face the winners of either Rangers versus Aberdeen.
