Celtic’s SLO John Paul Taylor has confirmed that Celtic will receive an allocation for the away game against Bayer Leverkusen but said that there was no change regarding the situation for the Ferencvaros game. Celtic face Ferencvaros on Thursday in the Europa League over in Budapest but fans are facing a nervous time without confirmation of whether they will be allowed in the group.

When asked on Twitter, JP Taylor said that the club would receive an allocation which will be great news for the supporters that have already booked up to go to Germany.

Celtic have confirmed the allocation with details of how fans that are eligible can purchase the tickets available via e-ticketing.  Trips to Germany always go down well with the support, the 2017 trip to Munich saw thousands of Celts descend to Bavaria for the game and you would expect to see a number of fans make the trip to Leverkusen.

This is good news for Celtic fans that are still waiting on an away European fixture in over 19 months with the draw against Copenhagen the last outing back in 2020. Many fans are already making their way to Budapest ahead of Thursday’s game; however, JP Taylor said that there was no update regarding whether away fans would be entitled to enter the stadium.

It will be a nervous wait for supporters, given the fact many of them are already en route but even more stressful is the thought of missing such a key fixture.
