The Glasgow derby needs no introduction, as Celtic famously smashed Rangers 6-2 in Martin O’Neill’s first rival match in Scotland. It was also a derby debut for Chris Sutton, who took less than 60 seconds to score. The match served as a metaphor for the turning tide in the new millennium, as Celtic have dominated the trophies ever since.

The second game is a bit less glamorous in that it was a league win at Tannadice, in much less memorable circumstances. Celtic had already won the league at this stage and the striking duo of Stokes and Samaras gave the Hoops an early advantage, which was enough to win the game.
