Celtic v Buckie Thistle – Everyone’s looking forward to Sunday at Paradise

All thoughts now on Sunday as we start our Scottish Cup campaign…

It’s been 16 days since we last watched Celtic in action and that 3-0 win over St Mirren in Paisley seems like 16 weeks ago! We’re all starting to get cold turkey as we’re denied our weekly fix of watching Glasgow Celtic, putting on a show.

Thankfully we don’t have long to wait and Sunday evening will see us back in action at Celtic Park as we start the defence of the Scottish Cup against  Highland league side Buckie Thistle.

The Moray side head to Paradise in what will be a dream come true afternoon for them. Despite them being a Highland league side, it will still be a difficult game and we should give them the respect they deserve, a point that Brendan Rodgers made yesterday on his interview on Celtic TV.

But in all honesty, it’s a game we should be winning comfortably giving the massive gap between the two sides.

I can see Brendan fielding his strongest side considering we haven’t played in a few weeks. So we should be expecting a comfortable victory and an impressive performance.

It should be a good day out for both the Buckie supporters and players, but it’s a game we are relishing also, even with that strange kick-off time of 4pm on a Sunday.  Let’s hope Celtic can put on a show and we are celebrating not only a good result but also a fine performance to give us momentum for the upcoming league fixtures, where the stakes will be sky high every week.
