Alan Muir has been appointed as the referee for Celtic’s game against Hearts this Wednesday evening. The SFA have confirmed the officials for the game as Ange Postecoglou’s side return to Paradise for the first time following the League Cup win at Hampden and victory yesterday away to St Mirren.

Muir has been named as the referee and he will be assisted by Calum Spence and Craig Ferguson. Steven Kirkland operates as Fourth Official. On VAR duty at Clydesdale House, the SFA have appointed Nick Walsh – who refereed the LC win over Rangers – along with AVAR official Graeme Leslie.

The game kicks off at 19:45 (Celtic Park Time) and will prove to be an exciting tie, given that Hearts will face Celtic twice in a week, with the Scottish Cup fixture this coming Saturday. Robbie Neilson is always a tricky customer, who enjoys to put as much pressure as he can on the officials at Celtic Park.

The Scottish Champions will be hoping that Hearts’ city rivals can inflict a blow against Rangers at Easter Road as Ange’s team look to extend their lead at the summit of the Cinch Premiership.
