Celtic face Livingston in the Scottish Cup Quarter Final on Sunday afternoon with a place at Hampden in the semis at stake. David Martindale’s Livingston side  will be hoping to continue their cup run at the expensive of the holders. Celtic have already beaten Buckie Thistle and St Mirren to reach this stage of the competition and will be hoping that the Premiership’s bottom side will be put aside.

Brendan Rodgers is unbeaten in the competition across two spells at the club and will hoping to return to Hampden next month.

Team News

Celtic are without Callum McGregor, the skipper will likely be out until after the International Break with a calf/achilles injury. Yang is suspended after the dubious call at Tynecastle was not overturned.

Reo Hatate is working back from injury but the Japanese midfielder is still out injured. Maik Nawrocki is still out after picking up a knock. Luis Palma is the latest player to pick up an injury and he may miss the game as a result.

In goals, Joe Hart will start. Expect a back four of Alistair Johnston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales and Greg Taylor. In midfield, it will likely be the same trio that started against Hearts – Paulo Bernardo, Matt O’Riley and Tomoki Iwata. There is also an argument that Odin Thiago Holm could start.

In attack, expect Adam Idah will likely start through the middle with Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda on the left.

Predicted XI: Hart; Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; Iwata, Bernardo, O’Riley; Maeda, Idah, Kuhn.
