The SFA have confirmed the appointments of this Sunday’s Scottish Cup Quarter Final between Celtic and Livingston. The Scottish Cup holders host David Martindale’s side in one of the televised games this weekend with the prospect of Hampden in the Semi Finals awaiting the winners.

Just days after Celtic confirmed that they had written to the SFA regarding the standard of officiating, the SFA have responded and named a senior refereeing duo for the key roles ahead of the weekend,

Willie Collum has been named as the referee. The seasoned ref will be assisted by Frank Connor and Steven Traynor with David Munro operating as Fourth Official. Meanwhile, at Clydesdale House, Nick Walsh is on VAR with Sean Carr assisting.

Celtic were on the receiving end of some dubious decisions in the 2-0 defeat to Hearts last weekend. Don Robertson was twice instructed by VAR John Beaton to overturn on-field decisions and make calls that were questionable and detrimental to Celtic – sending Yang off and awarding a penalty against Iwata, which Hearts scored from.

Celtic must banish thoughts of last weekend and focus on ensuring that they are in the hat for the Semi-Finals. Hopefully, there are no talking points about the refereeing decisions at the weekend.
