Celtic face theRangers on Saturday afternoon as the Scottish Champions aim to extend their lead at the league’s top to twelve points. Victory for Ange Postecoglou’s side would all but secure two-in-a-row.

The SFA have confirmed the appointment of match officials for the game on Tuesday afternoon as anticipation begins to grow.

Kevin Clancy has been appointed as the referee. The lawyer has refereed the fixture on three occasions before and will be assisted by David McGeachie and Ross Macleod. John Beaton is on fourth official duty. Meanwhile, Nick Walsh is on VAR at Clydesdale House along with Daniel McFarlane acting as AVAR. Walsh was the referee when the sides met in the League Cup Final, which Celtic won 2-1 back in February.

Celtic overcame Ross County away at Dingwall on Sunday to regain their nine point gap after Rangers beat Dundee United at Ibrox. A victory at Paradise in front of only Celtic fans would put the league title out of reach of Michael Beale. However, if the visitors were to win, it would take the gap down to six points with one more fixture in the league between the teams.
