Celtic are reportedly considering a move for Angers striker Amine Salama. The 22-year-old plays for the Ligue 1 strugglers and has scored three goals in fourteen appearances.

As reported by Football Transfers, Celtic have sent scouts to watch Salama as they consider making a move for the French attacker. It appears that Salama is on the radar for Celtic as they look to find the next Odsonne Edouard from the French talent pool.

Ange is said to be in the transfer market this January as he looks to bring at least one forward to the Scottish Champions. The Australian may even fancy a second striker arriving at Paradise this winter as Giorgos Giakoumakis is said to be considering his future with Celtic.

Kyogo appears to be the first choice striker at the club with Giakoumakis having to settle for a rotation role. Daizen Maeda appears to be more of a left sided option.

Celtic have already signed Alistair Johnston, Tomoki Iwata and Yuki Kobayashi despite the window not officially opening until January 1st. The manager, Chris McKay and Michael Nicholson are clearly unwilling to revert to previous bad practices of player trading. The club appear to be calm, composed and prepared for their transfer moves.
