Celtic will start their Champions League qualifying campaign at home to Danish side FC Midtjylland. Here’s the League Path draw that’s just taken place at UEFA HQ…

Rapid Wien (AUT) vs Sparta Praha (CZE)
Celtic (SCO) vs Midtjylland (DEN)
PSV Eindhoven (NED) vs Galatasaray (TUR)

Midtjylland is of course where Erik Sviatchenko plays his football and he’s always wanted to return to Celtic Park – as we highlighted earlier today, amid rumours of Celtic being interested in re-signing the rugged defender.

It should be noted that theRangers quite beat Midtjylland in the Europa League qualifiers home and away so Celtic should certainly have a chance against a side probably around the level of Copenhagen, who we really should have beaten in the knock-out rounds of the Europa League the season before last, especially after that win in Rome.

The first leg at Celtic Park will take place on July 20/21, with the second leg the following week in Denmark on July 27/28.

The home leg of this UCL second qualifying round tie is part of the 2021/22 season ticket, either in person or virtually via the Pass to Paradise.
