Kerr McInroy has joined Ayr United on a deal until the end of the season. The Celtic youngster was recently on loan at Airdrie but the versatile player has now signed for the Somerset Park outfit. Having scored four goals in 13 appearances, there were other teams keen on taking McInroy from Celtic on loan.

The 21-year-old, who plays as a defensive midfielder, central defender and left-back, having showcased his talents in the SPFL League One. Having made 22 appearances for Dunfermline last season, Airdrie signed the player for the first half of the season and had hoped to sign McInroy again but he returned to Celtic to assess his options.
The player has recently conceded that he doesn’t think he will make it at Celtic, even though the club retain an option to sign him for another year. His performances will only increase the club’s chances of retaining him or another team swooping to sign him next season. The fact that they recalled him and loaned him out elsewhere certainly means that he is considering his options.
