Marian Shved has made a rare appearance after coming on as a substitute for Ukraine. Despite his inactivity for Celtic, Shved picked up his second ever cap for his homeland in a 1-0 friendly win at the Slavutych-Arena in Zaporizhia.

With the EURO 2020 match versus Serbia approaching, West Ham’s Yarmolenko made way for the Celtic man after 65 minutes against Estonia.

Shved’s first Celtic goal came against Estonian opposition Nomme Kalju in Champions League qualifiers; however despite this goal in one of his few cameo appearances, he has struggled to make the breakthrough since arriving in Glasgow.

With a potential injury to Elyounoussi, Shved could relish the chance to get some minutes under his belt should Neil Lennon need him as part of his match day squads in the coming weeks, which sees a number of games.

Hopefully we see more of the winger in coming weeks; although not at the expense of Elyounoussi – who has been a revelation since arriving from Southampton.
