Celtic have announced the goals in contention for their follow-up Goal of the Month competition and there is some pretty good ones in amongst the chosen few. As always, there is stuff to sink your teeth into from all of our squads at the club including the B-team and Women’s team.
This month has saw us maintain our outstanding unbeaten run in the cinch Premiership League, as we have demolished just about everybody we have came up against in that regard. Of course, there is the not so insignificant detail of us winning the Scottish League Cup against Mick Beale’s side and stretching our undefeated streak versus the newest Ibrox club.
With Livingston, St Johnstone, St Mirren, and Aberdeen all comprehensively seen off in the short month of February, we are slowly putting away the games that lie in wait on our calendar, as we edge ever closer to another Scottish Premiership title. We certainly haven’t been shy on the goal front either this month; hitting four twice and five on another occasion.
But it’s that Legaue Cup that will have had us all purring as we keep our stranglehold over the domestic scene and specifically, the other mob that play in Govan. Ange Postecoglou has remained tight-lipped recently, whilst his motor-mouthed counterpart has been shouting the odds in the mainstream media about the Greek-Aussie and Celtic.
Kyogo Furuhashi’s second goal against theRangers is available to vote for on this month’s Goal of the Month competition. Although there are others in there that might tip your fancy more than that crucial match-winning close-ranger from the Japanese international.
Here are the goals chosen:
Goal A – Mooy v St Johnstone
Goal B – Hatate v St Mirren
Goal C – Hatate v Aberdeen
Goal D – Carse v Clyde
Goal E – Hayes v theRangers Women
Goal F – Kyogo v theRangers
