Celtic SLO John Paul Taylor has taken to Twitter to rubbish the Daily Mail headline that claimed that Celtic fans attempted to storm McDiarmid Park and fought with Police. A group of fans gathered around the embankment towards Tesco, allowing them to watch the game and cheer on the team.
After the Scottish Government’s decision to effectively put games behind closed doors, what would have been a sell-out Celtic end were forced to watch on screens. Although, The Bhoys were in fine voice despite being accused of attempting to break into the stadium. Police were present but there were no issues with the small gathering.
However, John Paul Taylor moved to clarify the situation insisting that the reports from Sunday were wrong.
Just to clarify some inaccurate reports from yesterday. There was no clash with Police, no storm of gates, a handful of fans went to cheer their team from a an area which was away from the Stadium. Police were agreeable to this and fans dispersed at FT without any issue

The games on Boxing Day are usually a special occasion in the Scottish footballing calendar but after the recent Scottish Government announcement, just 500 supporters were present in Perth. As a result of this latest curb to football fans, ten out of twelve clubs voted to bring forward the Winter Break to the 27th, meaning fixtures would go ahead on Boxing Day – albeit with limited numbers in grounds.
how the hell could they clash with police in glasgow to get into the game when it was played in PERTH they should be sued for libel
Hopefully any Celtic fan that still buys this paper stops as of now
13 hours ago that news broke, wtf.
Yes we covered it early this morning (see below), we just wanted to get it up again for those who missed it. It shows the mainstream media up for what they are and it also highlights that only JPT and Ange at the club are going to speak up for the fans.

Appreciate the feed back, but change the headline/title. Go after the culprit.of the story.
Glasgow/Perth. Just another honest mistake.
Media /Match officials just doing what they have always done.
Are you suggesting that the media are blowing this out of proportion and embellished the details and facts? Really?
Celtic’s CEO should grow a pair and take on the MSM. The Daily Express ran a similar trash piece.
