Matt O’Riley has said that he is ‘honoured’ at signing for Celtic after he was confirmed as the latest signing this January. The 21-year-old arrives at Celtic on a four-and-a-half-year deal from MK Dons, having rejected approaches from West Brom and Swansea.

Celtic are believed to have paid £1.5m to sign the promising midfielder from the League One outfit. O’Riley spent exactly twelve months with MK Dons and in 52 appearances, he has scored nine goals. Now, he will be looking at replicating energetic displays in green and white.

The midfielder will be hoping to get involved with Postecoglou’s side at the weekend as Celtic travel to Alloa in the Scottish Cup. Going into the January window, Celtic were desperate for replacements in the middle of the park but with Hatate, Ideguchi and O’Riley arriving this window to support Callum McGregor, Tom Rogic, David Turnbull, Nir Bitton and James McCarthy.
