No match report today from the final SWPL match of the year for Fran Alonso’s Celtic side as we were all double booked and attending the match at Celtic Park but keeping a close eye on the Celtic FC Women twitter feed for score updates throughout the afternoon from the 2pm kick-off at the Penny Cars Stadium in Airdrie where Celtic’s opponents were also Motherwell.

The match at Paradise only produced the one goal from Tom Rogic to give Celtic the points but for Fran Alonso’s side, still on an incredible high from last week’s brilliant performance in the SWPL Cup Final victory over Glasgow City, it was a more flamboyant, free scoring affair hitting the visitors for a magnificent seven. Celtic 6 Motherwell 0 – 68 mins – CAL! Instant impact! Clarissa Larisey runs onto the ball over the top and does well to ride the pressure and dink it over the onrushing Ramsay!

Celtic 7 Motherwell 0 – 79 mins – Pick that out! Charlie Wellings finally gets on the scoresheet with a brilliant finish taking her touch deep inside the box to blast it into the roof of the net for the magnificent seventh!
