Celtic’s path has been cleared to sign Dominik Livakovic after Fenerbahçe’s move for the Croatian Internationalist stalled. The 28-year-old has a year remaining on his deal and Celtic has been cited as interested in bringing him to Paradise.
The Turkish Giants had agreed an £8m deal with the Croatian Internationalist; however, personal terms were not agreed, which has sparked the Istanbul club to explore the signing of Keylor Navas. According to Turkish outlet Sondakika, the Super Liga outfit wants the Real Madrid legend as their new No.1.
The report continues that Navas, who also has a year remaining with PSG, is wanted in place of Livakovic as they have not yet secured terms with the goalkeeper.

Livakovic started in the Croatian league fixture against Istra 1961, where they won 3-0. Zagreb are currently plying their way through the Champions League qualifiers and that will potentially explain the hold-up in any deal. Celtic now have an opportunity to sign the player should they wish to have a credible alternative to Joe Hart.
The Englishman has been excellent since arriving on a free transfer from Tottenham Hotspur but Celtic are reported keen on bringing a new goalkeeper into the club as they look to continue to improve the squad with a view to progression in European football.
Earlier today, Brendan Rodgers told Sky Sports that there would be no £15m-20m signings arriving at the club but that there would be more arrivals to the club. Now, with Fenerbahçe seemingly out of the race.
