PSV Eindhoven are close to agreeing their second deal of the day to bring in around €40m to the Dutch club. Celtic will face the winners of PSV v Galatasaray in the next round of the Champions League, if we can overcome Midtjylland tomorrow but the Dutch side will be without Pablo Rosario and Donyell Malen as the Dutch pair look set to have played their last game in the Eredivisie.

OGC Nice have sealed a €6m deal for Rosario, who came on in the 5-1 first-leg victory against the Turkish outfit last week but the real windfall looks to be in the form of Malen, who is nearing a move to Borussia Dortmund. The 22-year-old, who spent time at Arsenal as a youth, has been training with Dortmund after an agreement was reached as they thrash out particulars.
👋 Donyell!
PSV Eindhoven has given official permission for Donyell Malen to take part in BVB training. There are still details to be clarified between the player and PSV, afterwards the transfer can finally be fully announced.pic.twitter.com/pSDojGV3RN

These deals mean that PSV could have a transfer war chest to help push themselves into the Champions League group stages this year. Given that the Dutch side dismantled Galatasaray without Malen, they look to have a settled, competent side that will be formidable opposition if Celtic can get beyond Midtjylland tomorrow. This highlights the amount of work that is required to Celtic’s backline if we are to hope for progression through to the Play-Offs.
Celtic need to make sure that they get key positions filled as soon as possible, especially given the strength of PSV in the next round if we get through. Aurelio Buta looks as if he will agree a €3.5m move shortly with Carl Starfelt set for Celtic training on Thursday but another couple of signings are needed if Ange Postecoglou’s side are going to be competitive on all fronts this season.
