CHRIS SUTTON has finally conceded that Neil Lennon’s Celtic career as manager may be over. Sparta Prague dealt a potentially fatal blow with a 4-1 thumping in the Czech Republic to give them an 8-2 scoreline. The BT Sport pundit and friend of Lennon delivered his damning verdict on Twitter earlier, which is a real milestone.

Sutton has always backed Lennon, perhaps stubbornly but his verdict tonight speaks for itself. Lazy defending and really poor goals were conceded but they have been the norm this season. Celtic need to change course or else they will crash on the road to 10IAR.

Whilst there is no official announcement yet, Celtic supporters have made their feelings known that this should be Neil Lennon’s last outing as manager. Despite being a great servant to Celtic for over twenty years, Lennon appears to have lost the support. The abject performance was no surprise in Czechia, it has been par for the course this season and change is needed.
