Chris Sutton scored one of the best goals of his career as Celtic sealed a whitewash over Rangers, On This Day in 2004. The English centre forward, who has shown a mischievous desire to wind up supporters from Ibrox, scored a chip from outside the box in a late win at Celtic Park.
Sutton managed to expertly win the long ball as David Marshall sent the ball high into the sky. Sutton’s knock-on was met by Henrik, who shielded the ball before knocking it into the former Chelsea man’s path. It would be Sutton’s 28th of the season and it was a beauty. Something between a curled effort and a chip but it was enough to leave Stefan Klos absolutely beaten.

The Rangers supporters, who believed they had escaped a final defeat in the season, were in song as they looked to seal a draw yet as Sutton takes the ball from Larsson, they seem to stop and are utterly deafened by the Celtic fans as Larsson wheels away in celebration.
Here is Sutton describing it in brilliant fashion.

An excellent player and what a moment, especially in Henrik’s final game against them.
