Statement is nothing more than deflection and pressure tactics from an increasing desperate football club…
The Rangers yesterday produced one of their famous statements and it’s no surprise who was the target of their fury. The officials of at the centre of the cup final ‘controversy’ were once more on the receiving end of criticism by the serial losers amidst yet another big game failure.
The Ibrox side are demanding an explanation as to why Alan Muir and Frank Connor are both available for upcoming premiership games. While they were cute enough not to name the officials their rage was aimed mainly at Frank Connor who has been assigned as an assistant referee for Celtic’s clash with St Johnstone on 29 December.
Phantom rage with a purpose
Make no mistake about it, their phantom rage is nothing more than a deflection tactic from yet another failure, but they are also cleverly using it as a pressure tactic with an upcoming Glasgow Derby looming on 2 January – a match they must win and one where their manager will surely be removed if Brendan Rodgers and his side pick up all three points.
To explain the statement, it’s a demand for them to get the penalty at Ibrox that they were denied at Hampden and just watch them fall over every time that they get into the Celtic box (or on the line LOL).
This game that is win or bust for the Ibrox club in terms of their slim league title chances, and they will use any trick in the book to give them an advantage going into the Glasgow Derby.

Watch Andrew Dallas getting VAR gig on 2 January
Whoever gets handed the task of handling that fixture, whether on the park or off it in the VAR room is now suddenly under a whole lot more pressure than usual. And yesterday’s statement is almost certainly going to ensure that they get the match officials – including VAR – to their liking. Tenner says Andrew Dallas will be on VAR? No takers? Hardly surprising.

Will there be another statement from the scum, if the big eared eejit doesn’t mention, the no penalty incident, in his speech this afternoon?
