Christopher Jullien has posted a cryptic social media update this evening only to quickly delete it. Fans are questioning whether he was hinting at a summer move as the 29-year-old remains a backup in the plans of manager Ange Postecoglou.

The player is said to have trained on Monday and this update suggests that a move has been in the offing.

The former Toulouse defender returned to action in February for a brief cameo in the win over Raith Rovers in The Scottish Cup. However, he found his time on the pitch limited by the successful pairing of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt, who formed the solid foundation for Postecoglou’s team.

With a year remaining on his contract, Jullien’s social media activity appears to be teasing fans with its cryptic nature. The player has since deleted it suggesting that he is aware that it is misleading or that the club have told him to grow up.

It is three years to the day that Jullien signed and you can see some of the moments that he has contributed to, in that first season really. If the player moves on, it will be with the best wishes of everyone but the sideshow is certainly not welcome. If the player is to leave, it should be do as soon as possible instead of a protracted public separation.
