Christopher Jullien joined Celtic for £7m in the summer. Since then, the defender has barely looked back. He has become Celtic’s highest scoring defender since Virgil Van Dijk, and much like the Liverpool defender, Jullien gave a glowing report of Neil Lennon. “I’m impressed with everything with the gaffer. Not just as a manager but also a person. He’s helped my confidence and he’s perfect for the club and for me,” the Frenchman told the Daily Record.

The newspaper also touched on the upcoming match against FC Copenhagen tomorrow night and the former Toulouse captain said: “It’s huge that the return leg is here at Celtic Park. The atmosphere is unbelievable and I’m sure the fans tomorrow will create a 12th man for us on the pitch. It would be good to make more history here at Celtic. For me, it’s the biggest game of my career so far. Playing in Europe was a goal of mine for a long time. To go through to the next stage would be unbelievable. The game will be difficult. They’ll be confident and for us, we just need to keep our focus.”

Celtic are favourites to see the job through tomorrow, especially being in a cauldron with 60,000 fans backing them. However, the tie is in the balance with the aggregate score locked level at 1-1. Christopher Jullien had a phenomenal game last week in Denmark and will no doubt be pivotal to Celtic’s hopes of progression tomorrow night.
