There has apparently been a bit of confusion today when one Celtic source indicated that Willie Collum will be the referee at Hampden next Saturday for the Scottish Cup Final.

However Collum didn’t get the gig, Kevin Clancy did and one of his assistants will be Douglas Ross, the Tory MP who got rather excited at Ibrox recently after Jozo Simunovic used his elbow against Alfredo Morelos.

So it’s Clancy not Collum to referee the Scottish Cup Final.

And Steven Naismith has been offered a two match ban by the Compliance Officer for his disgraceful challenge on Scott Brown on Sunday , but has escaped punishment for his lunge on James Forrest which could have resulted in a serious ankle injury.

Naismith is free to face Hibs tonight and if Neil Lennon’s side can take the 3 points then that will set them up nicely for the weekend visit of Rangers, with their reduced support, where Hibs will be looking to secure second place in the league. They will need Celtic to sort out Aberdeen though on trophy day.

Our Match Report will be up later, written by supporters actually at the game.
