Come on Fuel The Noise – Ange Postecoglou’s brilliant ‘We Never Stop’ message to Celtic support

Callum McGregor, Joe Hart are the warm up acts for the star of the show Ange Postecoglou in the club’s video released today as part of the season ticket renewal campaign for next season. And who is going to say no to Ange? Put it this way if you are on the ever expanding Season ticket renewal waiting list then it might be a while before there are too many tickets up for grabs.

In what is one of Celtic’s best ever videos Ange has this message for the players in the dressing room ahead of a match…

“Walk out there today boys feeling ten feet tall. Do you know why? Because you’re representing a club that has achieved the greatest of achievements.

“You stand on the shoulders of the players who have achieved all that before. Walk out there feeling invincible, ten feet tall, at the end of the game you’ll be a little bit taller. From what you’ve created, what you’ve added to this football club.”

In truth Ange has the players and the supporters eating out of his hands. There’s a small price increases – as expected – but the club has listened and kept the kids tickets at just £50.  Renewal numbers this year won’t worry Celtic too much, given the huge support the support gave the club last summer in very different circumstances to now.

It’s hard to find a negative although one point to mention is this. I read somewhere over the last week or so that Peter Lawwell’s legacy might not be ‘The Man who Blew the Ten’ but instead “The Man who gave us Ange’ as Postecoglou recently confirmed the role that Lawwell played in bringing him to Glasgow. What wasn’t stated was that Lawwell was aware of Ange at the time he confirmed Neil Lennon in the showers after the Scottish Cup Final win over Hearts in 2019. But it’ better late than never and Ange is here now!

Here’s his message today to the Celtic support…

WE. NEVER. STOP. A message from the Manager

Representing Celtic Football Club gives us the opportunity to do remarkable things and to be part of something unique. I love being part of something so special. It was a privilege to be asked to be Celtic Manager and it has been an honour to develop and lead this current team.

Of course, winning is a huge part of the Club’s identity, but for me it’s not just about winning, it’s about how we win and about the kind of team we aspire to be. It’s about having a strong faith in our ability and a belief in our own style of football.

We have a way of playing the game which is challenging but offers great rewards and while we have a huge responsibility to deliver results, we want to be a team that excites you, puts a smile on your face and gets you out of your seat.

I want my players to enjoy it and I want our fans to enjoy it – together. And by uniting behind this shared vision of what we want to be, we can deliver the success we aim for.

My philosophy on the pitch is that we never stop. We aim to be relentless in our spirit and in our commitment. Playing attacking, entertaining football won’t always be easy but it will always be worth it. And for me, it will always be worth giving you a team you can be proud of.

As I say to the players, for 90 minutes it is our responsibility to make you feel good and give you moments to remember. It will always be our way.

Goalscorer Kyogo Furuhashi, Celtic Manager Angelos Postecoglou and captain Callum McGregor of Celtic celebrate with the trophy

The passion and spirit you show us from the stands is a real strength of this Club and it fuels us forward to uphold the values and standards of this football club, not just in terms of winning but the way we play our football.

We’ve done it together from day one and our shared passion for bringing success to our great club is something that I hope will ensure your commitment for the campaign ahead.

Thank you for being with us, thank you for everything.
