ROSENBORG’s pre Parkhead woes continue with the news that former manager Kare Ingebrigtsen is considering legal action against the Norwegian Champions after his shock dismissal after the 3-2 aggregate win over Valur in the first round of Champions League qualifiers.

Gunnar-Martin Kjenner, a leading sports lawyer in Norway, has indicated that legal action is now on the cards.

And Teddy Moen, who is the Head of the Manager’s Association, has also spoken out against the actions of the Rosenborg board in dismissing a popular and successful manager after a Champions League win.

Kjenner, commenting on
Ingebrigtsen’s sacking said: “It is terribly primitive.

“It’s completely contrary to the rules, to verbally
dismiss somebody over a table as Rosenborg did.

“Kare has delivered at Rosenborg, so you have to ask what are the reasons?

“The desire for another coach is not a reason. To be dismissed, it requires a gross breach.”

And Moen’s view backed up that of the Sports Lawyer: “This has been a shock to us and the expectations we have for our members is higher than this.

“Rosenborg don’t score very high here. We will look at Kare’s and his assistant Erik Hoftun’s contracts because they’ve asked us to do that for them.”

The task of leading Rosenborg at Celtic Park and beyond was given to Dutch coach Rini Coolen who yesterday held crisis talks with the players who have been deeply unhappy at the dismissal.

Whether they will get behind the new boss on Wednesday remains to be seen.

It is clear though that Rosenborg are in crisis and Celtic will hopefully take full advantage.
