Celtic SLO John Paul Taylor flagged up earlier today that there was a safety inspection today around 12 noon to determine whether Sunday’s scheduled Cinch Premiership match between Dundee United and Celtic at Tannadice could go ahead.
John Paul has just provided an update confirming that the match on Sunday is ON.
“Confirmation that Sunday’s match goes ahead as planned. Unfortunately the Jerry Kerr Stand is closed and fans with tickets for this Stand are asked to please not attend the match, full refunds will be provided,” the Celtic FC SLO tweeted.
Last night news broke that around 2000 Celtic Fans with tickets for Jerry Kerr Stand – including various staff members on The Celtic Star – will NOT be able to attend the match due to structural damage to the roof of that stand caused by last weekend’s storm.
Incidentally while that means that 2000 away day fans will have to content themselves to watching the match on Sky Sports they still can get their live Celtic fix after that finishes. Fran Alonso’s Celtic side take on Glasgow City at Firhill on Sunday afternoon, in the SWPL Cup Final. Kick-off is at 4.10pm and there will be tickets available at the ground via the ticket kiosk. It’s only £8 for adults and £2 for concessions. Why not get along and support the Hoops?
