Confirmed – Brendan Rodgers Fan Media Conference at Celtic Park on Friday

Brendan Rodgers will attend his first Celtic fan media conference at Celtic Park tomorrow afternoon. The Celtic Star will be one of the fan media outlets attending and it’s sure to an interesting afternoon with both his dramatic exit for Leicester City in February 2019 and the excitement about what lies ahead for the club with the return of our former manager who won seven trophies from seven last time around, being the main topics of conversation.

That shock exit though will have to be addressed and put to bed to allow us all to move forward. There are two sides to every story and while Rodgers hasty departure four years ago meant that all the blame was laid at his door, it’s the other side of the story that resulted in that decision that perhaps can be explained diplomatically at least, tomorrow at 4pm.

Yet not too much can be said as all parties at Celtic from the new manager to the boardroom to the principal shareholder and the backroom staff have all come together over the past few weeks, since to swift departure of Ange Postecoglou shortly after the Scottish Cup Final, to agree a plan to take the club forward into exciting times.

Hopefully those plans, ambitions and expectations for the future get a fair share of the coverage tomorrow afternoon.  The last time Brendan was appointed as Celtic manager around 13,000 supporters turned up to welcome him to the club. Maybe that won’t happen this time around but the weather is just as nice as it was back in May 2016 and there is almost certainly going to be Celtic supporters in and around the ground to see the return of the prodigal son.

Here’s a message from the new Celtic manager released by the club this afternoon…
