CELTIC have been drawn against either Sarajevo or Budućnost Podgorica in the Europa League Play-off. The tie will be played away from Celtic Park, should the Scottish Champions beat Riga FC next week.

Neil Lennon’s side were unseeded going into the round and this meant that they could have come against two seeded sides Dynamo Brest and Red Star Belgrade in the draw. This was because of the stage that Celtic were knocked out by Ferencvaros in this season’s Champions League.

Celtic must first face Riga FC in the Europa League third qualifying round next week after the Latvian side eventually got the better of the San Marino minnows Tre Fiori this morning.

Either opponents will be a tough game for Celtic and should they wish to reach the Group stages, a big performance in both games is needed to ensure the club are playing in the next stage of Europe’s second competition.

Celtic were group winners last year but fell to Copenhagen in the Round of 32. Hopefully with this route will allow Europa League football for this season.
