CELTIC will play Partick Thistle in the Fourth Road of the William Hill Scottish Cup.

The game will be played at Firhill and sets up a Glasgow Derby between the Scottish Champions and the Championship side.

It could prove to be a tough draw for the holders as Ian McCall hopes to have drilled his sides better than when the pair met in the Betfred Cup in September, with Celtic strolling to a 5-0 victory.

The Fourth Road ties will be played on the weekend of the 18/19th of January, after the Celts return from Dubai.

Neil Lennon’s team retained the trophy with a 2-1 victory over Hearts at Hampden in May, now their journey to Hampden begins again.

A brace from Odsonne Edouard saw Celtic come back from a goal down versus the Tynecastle outfit.

Celtic have won the Scottish Cup a record 39 times, including three-in-a-row since 2017.

A good draw and fortunately, a draw that doesn’t involve a great deal of travel!
