Copa America star has a big part to play at Celtic this season

AJ named in Copa America team of the tournament. He has a big part to play of us this year.

Well done to Alistair Johnston who was named in the Copa America team of tournament. The Canadian right back was named in the best XI alongside the likes of Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez, Raphinha, and James Rodriguez.

That is testament to the full backs ability which seen him play a major part in his nations historic run to the semi final, just narrowly missing out on 3rd place after a penalty shoot out defeat at the hands of Uruguay.

AJ has been superb since signing for the club back in early 2023 and has already amassed five trophies in that time. Alistair was signed as a replacement for the talented Josip Juranavic and he such has been the Canadians form, he’s made us forget all about the Croatian international.

His commitment and Athleticism as well as his ability have seen him become a vital part of our team. Those qualities will be crucial come the new season as I believe the Canadian will only get better under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers, which is great news for the club.
