What a week it has been for Celtic, two defeats and one draw. Four goals scored and eight conceded as Celtic falter again in the race for 10IAR. Despite coming from behind twice against Aberdeen and then taking the lead, a late Lewis Ferguson penalty shared the points between the sides.

However, with full time’s whistle, there were calls for Neil Lennon to leave the job as Celtic could fall six points behind Rangers, who kick off at home to Livingston at 3pm.

Lennon has won five titles for Celtic and you cannot fault him for stepping back in and taking the interim role when Rodgers walked out in February 2019. Lennon is a Celtic fan but he is a proud man too, if he thinks that he is potentially costing Celtic then I think he will leave but at this stage that may be too premature.

Lennon’s sub worked today as Leigh Griffiths fired Celtic level, the change that should’ve protected the game today was when MOTM Tom Rogic went off and was replaced by Turnbull. This should have been Soro to shore up the middle of the park beside Scott Brown and give protection to the maligned Shane Duffy.

League titles are not won or lost in October but the level of performance that is expected from a Celtic team that have won 9 successive titles is far higher than the current output.
