Crystal Palace put £20m valuation on Odsonne Edouard as Celtic on alert

Crystal Palace have placed a £20m valuation on Odsonne Edouard as the striker looks set to depart this summer. Oliver Glasner has Edouard down the pecking order at Palace but will likely look to put his own stamp on things this summer.

There had been some speculation that Celtic could be interested in the player; however, this was just social media speculation. The only interest Celtic have in the player is likely how much of their sell-on they’ll get.

According to South London Press, Palace are ready to entertain offers for the Frenchman.

The sizeable fee could potentially result in a multimillion return for Celtic. The Scottish Champions are undertaking a summer rearmament after winning a Double, with a number of positions expected to be strengthen upon. Although, Edouard won’t be making a return.

Edouard left Celtic in the summer of 2021 having scored 87 times and assisted 39 times for the club since arriving in a £9m deal back in 2017. Initially signed on a season-long loan, Edouard went from Celtic’s third choice behind Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths to a mainstay in the starting XI. He scored a brace as Celtic beat Rangers 5-0 to win 7IAR and conjured up some incredible moments during his time in the Hoops.

  1. Absolutely never in a million years would I want Eddy back at Celtic! He is far too lazy. I noticed someone tried to say earlier that he was better than Kyogo! I guess that guy was on drugs!
