The Daily Record isn’t too happy today with Brendan Rodgers for telling the truth yesterday and calling out the root causes of the Glasgow Derby away ticket dispute.
That really gained momentum after Beautiful Sunday in March 2018 after a ten-man Celtic fought back from being twice to score a sensational winner through Odsonne Edouard after a master-class substitution and tactical change of formation after Jozo Simonovic was red carded. However the theory was discussed the year before, in August 2017 on a podcast…the DAILY RECORD podcast! Well done to @Gastro_Celtic for digging this one up from the archives…
Odd reading the Daily Record making a meal out Rodgers comments on the ticket issue, sharing blame and expressing concern for fans.
Odd, because here is their Podcast from August 2017… championing Rangers desire to cut allocation:pic.twitter.com/L80x6y65pP

It’s certainly well worth reading the comments to this tweet which backs up everything that Brendan Rodgers said yesterday and exposes the Daily Record as trying to have their cake and eat it…
So according to ex daily Record employee Gary Ralston this 7 year spat is all down to Celtic fans gloating inside Ibroxland ? That’s the reason for the continued standoff today ? The rag pumped him a short time later ,for whatever reason ,where soon afterwards he became an employee of theRangers in some media capacity …he may not continue to be employed by the clumpany he has written 2 books about ? The bottom line here is that the daily Record allowed an employee to instigate and initiate theRangers policy to ban Celtic fans from Ibroxland on Glasgow derby games ….the mandate was authorised by the newspaper .
Typical from this bigoted publication.
TheRangers moaning about Celtic refusing any tickets for the upcoming Derby is laughable when for the second game on the bounce Hampden is half empty. Why should we give up seats at Parkhead to a club whose fans are failing to attend their own home games?? HAIL HAIL
Ralston now works for the Cooncil, cutting and pasting reports on dog poo and bin fires:
