Good to see our Bhoy Kwon making a good start at the Buddies. Let’s hope he keeps it up…

Celtic’s South Korean midfielder Kwon made his debut for St Mirren yesterday in the Paisley Saints one nil win in the Scottish cup over Queen of the South.

Kwon last week completed his loan move to Stephen Robinsons side until the end of the season, and by all accounts he had a decent debut as St Mirren booked their place in the next round of the Scottish Cup. Admittedly it was against a side from league one, but it would have been a tough afternoon for him all the same.

It would have been strange for him to adapt to new surroundings and new teammates in such a small space of time, but he put his head down and got on with the job, and that bodes well for the future. There will be tougher obstacles for Kwon to overcome in the coming months, but hopefully he smashes it and shows everyone why Celtic signed him.

He will need to be consistent, that’s the challenge for the big South Korean. Starting next week against theRangers. If he puts in a decent shift against the second best side in the country, then it’s a big step forward in his development.
