Delight for new deal for Reo, now for Matt

Friday was fabulous with the news at teatime that Reo Hatate signed a new five year deal that ties him to the club until 2028.

That along with the news that Cameron Carter-Vickers is back in training is a major boost for everyone involved with the club.

Reo now joins Kyogo, Daizen Maeda, Callum McGregor, Liel Abada, and Tony Ralston in committing his future to the club.

The fact that these very valuable players are committing their future to Celtic shows that everyone is fully behind Brendan Rodgers and his vision for the club which is fabulous news.

The cherry on the cake would be getting Matt O’Riley to sign a new deal. It’s something Brendan has spoken about recently and it’s something he too is keen to get done.

If Matt does indeed follow his midfield partners and sign a new deal, it will be further enhance the feel good factor surrounding the club and put us in a great position having a squad that have their long term futures settled and free from any negativity regarding potential moves away.
