Scott Brown has missed out on the FIFA Fair Play award after the Denmark National Team and Medical Team were awarded for their response to Christian Eriksen collapsing in the Euro 2020 game against Finland. The governing body completed its awards ceremony for 2021 on January 17th, celebrating ‘The Best’ players from across the game.

Brown was nominated for the FIFA Fair Play Award after his gesture to Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara back in March. The then Celtic captain showed his class during the warm-up ahead of the Glasgow Derby kick-off against Rangers by crossing into the Rangers half and showing solidarity with Glen Kamara.

The Rangers midfielder was distraught following an incident against Slavia Prague in the Europa League. An episode of alleged racist abuse was followed by a fight in the tunnel after Rangers were defeated by the Czech side. Brown shook Kamara’s hand and embraced him, resulting in a brilliant picture of solidarity.
