Celtic’s defeat to Bodo Glimt was met with a bit indifference from some quarters, who insist that winning the SPFL is the be all and end all this season. However, a poll conducted prior to the match found that the vast majority of supporters feel that the competition should be taken seriously.

There have also been suggestions that Ange Postecoglou should name a weakened team for the return leg, but the same poll asked whether or not reserves should be played in the tie to solely focus on domestic football.

The exact question was ‘Do you think Celtic should take the Europa Conference League seriously this season or play the reserves and solely focus on domestic football?’

In response, 84.9% of fans said that the Hoops should go all out to progress, while 15.1% held a different view.

Given those results, it would be interesting to see how last night’s match has impacted on beliefs.
